Conveyancing Legal Assistant

My client, a leading law firm, is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join their busy Conveyancing team in Wimborne.

If you enjoy building strong working relationships, a varied workload and have experience of working at pace in a busy conveyancing department this could be the role for you.

Duties will include:

• Dealing with client`s matters where appropriate
• Typing of correspondence, filing and opening new files
• Ordering Searches and Land Registry documents
• Preparing files for billing
• Screening incoming calls
• Sorting and prioritising mail, emails and messages
• Preparation of straightforward legal documents
• Provision of a professional & friendly service to clients

Skills and experience required:

• A strong background in legal conveyancing work / previous experience working within a busy Conveyancing team as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant or similar.
• To have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with all employees
• Great attention to detail
• To be able to produce a high standard of work when under pressure
• The ability to make sound decisions taking ownership when required.
• To have excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages
