Job Description

This role involves working for a Boutique North east Firm providing expert legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial property matters. The successful candidate manages property transactions, leases, acquisitions and disposals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and client requirements. The role demands a proactive approach to managing caseloads, drafting and negotiating documentation, and maintaining strong client relationships. Working within a busy legal team, the lawyer supports business growth by delivering high-quality legal services in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Advise clients on commercial property transactions including purchases, sales, leases, licences, and property development agreements.
• Draught, review and negotiate a variety of commercial property documents such as leases, licences, deeds, and contracts.
• Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare reports for clients on title, planning, environmental and other property-related matters.
• Manage the entire transaction process from inception to completion, including liaising with clients, other legal professionals, surveyors and financial institutions.
• Ensure compliance with current property law, regulations, and industry best practise.
• Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure timely progression of work to meet deadlines.
• Provide clear, concise and practical legal advice tailored to client needs and commercial objectives.
• Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities and assisting with marketing initiatives.
• Keep up to date with developments in commercial property law and relevant sectors.
• Support colleagues and participate in team meetings and training as required.
