We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have mental health support needs.
They live in a community based setting, with most of our customer living in single occupancy flats within walking distance of our core house.
We help our customers develop and build on their skills to help them move on into their own tenancy. This can include help with practical tasks such as cooking and cleaning, but also, learning to live with their mental health diagnosis or developing coping strategies.
About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is David, he’s worked at Home Group for a whopping 10 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with you.
There are 9 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! In the team we have Gemma, Sonia, Sam, Lyn, Kristian, Beckie and Mark, between us all there is over 50 years of experience! We all have our own hobbies and interests too, from football, crafts, music, gardening, and whittling! We can’t wait to welcome you into our awesome team!
We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 9pm and 08:15am and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services. You will ensure the safety and securing of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours!
You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. As our Housing Support Concierge, you’ll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our clients during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s preferred that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
