Non-executive appointment of one independent lay member

We are looking for a new member to join our Audit Committee.

This is your opportunity to offer an independent perspective to the work of a modern, inclusive and innovative healthcare regulator through the work of the GOsC Audit Committee. The role of the Audit Committee is to provide assurance that internal and external systems and processes are in place for identifying, managing and mitigating the risks relating to the discharge of the GOsC’s statutory duties, and to make recommendations for any actions to Council and the Executive.

You would be expected to commit to attending Audit Committee meetings three times a year, usually for half a day each, with additional time required for reading meeting papers. You would be paid £306 a day, including reading and preparation time. We pay reasonable travel and subsistence expenses which are incurred as part of this role. Appointment starts on 1 April 2022 (initially for up to four years).
