The Acquire Centre of Expertise (CoE) are champions of curiosity, bringing thought leadership and diverse thinking from both within and outside of DLG to develop a strategy focused on future skills development, career pathways, resourcing at all stages of acquisition and development of an employee value proposition.
What we're looking for
We seek an individual who is passionate about developing and driving an emerging careers strategy including our graduate programme, interns and apprenticeship approach but also more widely around re-training, professional qualifications and professional development We want someone who can be creative to find ways to fully utilise our apprenticeship levy to support diverse development but also support our future skills strategy.
We want you to bring your experience in strategy development across the emerging talent landscape, bringing innovative approaches led by your knowledge of the external market. Ideally, you'll have experience of operating in a skills gap market such as data and analytics, digital and technology skills and financial services.
You’ll be enthusiastic and curious about new emerging talent trends with a clear focus on delivering a future proof workforce of diverse, skilled individuals demonstrating the behaviours we live by.
What you'll be doing:
Build and implement an integrated emerging careers strategy focused on attracting, identifying and developing emerging talent through apprenticeships, graduate and Intern programmes to build talent pipelines and develop skills, capabilities and values required for both now and the future.
Collaborate via the People Partners with the business to identify the future key skills, capabilities and behaviours we will need to sustain long term performance and develop appropriate programmes and approaches to build pipelines that combine relevant breadth and depth of experience.
Creating and implementing innovative, scalable sourcing strategies and solutions to drive our hiring to meet DLG strategic objectives. Which builds our employer brand and supports our EVP whilst ensures a high-touch candidate experience.
Determine any supplementary interventions that may be required to improve the diversity of our emerging careers pipelines to support our wider Diversity & Inclusion Strategy.
Responsible for defining, designing and coordinating the full life cycle of a DLG Emerging Careers journey. Define the learning and development journey of emerging careers talent groups, creating a link between internal and external educational learning providers to help them develop and grow.
Own the definition of DLG career pathways to support personal growth and career management at DLG as well as tools / interventions to support individuals leading their own progression & growth.
Conduct regular external research to identify best practise, emerging innovations & new ideas. Identify trends and build knowledge, data and competitive intelligence to develop creative, customised sourcing strategies.
Who you’ll be working with:
You’ll be working within Acquire CoE, reporting to Kelly Madeley, the Acquire CoE Lead. You’ll build strong relationships with the Grow CoE, People Partners and HR Delivery as well as business leaders to understand the resource requirements and strategic objectives to help support the business deliver its aims.
