With the ability to support and mentor fellow team members, you should enjoy researching new technologies and their potential uses across all of the Direct Line Group web sites.

You’ll need a minimum of 8 years JAVA experience to succeed in this role and ideally would have made the journey from Development into Engineering throughout your career.

Who you'll be working with:

Create and maintain QA reporting capability across entire engineering function.

Create automated, browser-based, end-to-end functional tests using the Selenium WebDriver (APIs, as opposed to record/playback IDE) primarily on Javascript/JAVA frameworks.

You will identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to their role, in line with the company risk framework

You will be working collaboratively and effectively in DevOps environments

Understand and be keen to embrace CI/CD practices

Help delivery teams to understand what to test, what to automate and how to deliver quality software.

Help teams to adopt Behaviour Driven Development (Cucumber is not BDD).

What we'll give you:

We have a strong focus on developing you and your skillset and seek to give you the tools to do so. In addition to this we also offer a generous benefits package including family and work life balance focused options such as: fully paid maternity leave and parental leave, flexible working, insurance savings for you and your family as well as a range of other optional benefits.
