Reporting to: Senior Content Manager, Global Digital Content

JOB PURPOSE:
The Content Executive’s primary role is to create engaging content for GWR.com and GWR KIDS. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

About the candidate
Passion for website copywriting
Proven online content creation experience 
Ability to write online news/features to a brief and deadline
Knowledge of content management systems and web analytics platforms
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge 
Basic HTML skills desirable 
Experience of writing for children desirable 
Additional interest in social media desirable 

About the role
Contribute to the news output for GWR.com by seeking out interesting content and/or covering breaking news
Co-ordinate the content calendar for GWR KIDS
Create and execute new content ideas for GWR KIDS, with support from the Digital team
Support the Senior Content Manager in page building for GWR websites 
Regularly check internal resources for new records to cover
Post content on our KIDS facing social media platforms, PopJam and Byte
Track analytics and create reports on an ad-hoc basis  

KEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES 

Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
Fluency in English essential; knowledge of another European language would be a bonus
Convey the company’s tone of voice in an effective and appropriate manner
Ability to communicate with global offices and multi-cultural teams
