Description:

You'll lead the effective use of core systems across Finance, to do so,
you'll be a finance professional with extensive systems management
experience. You'll identify trends, lead improvements and work with
stakeholders to understand their systems needs.

The role

 * Triage and trouble-shoot Finance systems requests; signpost resources to
encourage self-service; help Finance teams navigate change processes (DTS
and GBS)
 * Monitor and track Finance requests and incidents, identifying trends and
root causes
 * Develop plans for long term remediation of repeat issues, and work
closely with Finance and other functional teams to deliver in an appropriate
timeframe
 * Partner with Finance teams to understand their system needs –
whether pain points causing inefficiencies, or future needs due to changing
business requirements
 * Develop resources and deliver teach-ins to address knowledge gaps across
Finance, including the evolution of a super user network, in conjunction
with the wider Finance Systems team
 * Collaborate cross-functionally to understand the pipeline of change, and
assess the impacts on core Finance systems

The person

 * Finance experience, with accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA,
ICAEW, ICAS)
 * Significant knowledge and hands on experience of SAP Finance modules
 * Experience working in a large scale organisation, with diverse and
complex processes
 * Experience of a variety of Finance roles, preferably Super User capacity
or similar
 * Experience of driving best practice through continuous process
improvement
 * Collaborative approach to working within team, across organisational
boundaries and with external suppliers
 * Able to cope with ambiguity, and adaptable to changing priorities
 * Customer-focused – able to understand the needs of Finance
 * Problem-solver – ability to identify an issue from within the end
to end process
