Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.
At Home Group it’s critical we continue to deliver services for our customers during the COVID-19 outbreak, and our awesome colleagues are at the very heart of making that happen. We need Brilliant People like you to join us (and not just during this challenging time). We are doing things a little differently for the moment, so to keep you, our customers and ourselves safe we’ll engage with you digitally where possible.
We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome Home Achievement Programme team. We are a small team however; we work closely together towards the same goals and are very passionate about the “Home Achievement Programme” and its benefits to our customers.
“Completing the Home Achievement Programme turned my life around!”
“Helped my mental state!”
“Gave me more confidence overall!”
“Put me in the right state of mind to move forward with my life!”
“I’m now doing an apprenticeship with Home Group, after completing the HAP!”
“I would recommend everyone to do the Home Achievement Programme, as it changes you!”
About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we’re not just a team we’re a “work family”. Our manager is Gillian Hall, who has worked for Home Group for 4 years, and joined as the Home Achievement Programme CSM at the beginning of this year. There are three of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! Eleanore is our Administrator champion; who joined the team at the end of 2019. We are all very passionate about the programme.
You will be expected to work flexible hours when needed to fit in with the services.
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
You will work alongside support workers and services to ensure that they receive support to deliver Home Achievement Programme to their customers; and help them to select the correct modules to fit in with the customers support needs.
Your role would be to proactively promote the benefits of the Home Achievement Programme through training sessions with colleagues to increase the registrations, and to help and support colleagues to deliver the programme to their customers and successfully complete the qualification.
The Home Achievement Programme is fantastic and is unique to Home Group, it is a Level 1 qualification, and can be a great steppingstone for our customers to maybe lead onto an Apprenticeship with Home Group or just improve their lives by sustaining independent living or learning vital life skills. This is often the customers first qualification that they achieve; which is something huge for them to be very proud of.
At times you will be required to write new modules, working with the Awarding Body to ensure that they meet with the criteria.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our small team, so that we can increase the success of the Home Achievement Programme.
We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference!
To keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) You’ll be given the latest IT kit, which could include a Surface Pro tablet and smart phone, supported by our new online integrated IT system which means that you don’t have to be in the office as you can complete support plans on the go.
If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high-tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However, we’re glad to support you, if you need help.
To make sure our customers and colleagues are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a service environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!
This role is Home Based at the moment; however, you will be expected to travel between services, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!
As this is a community-based role, you’ll need to travel around to spend time with the services. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! (we pay your expenses to cover this use!)
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
