We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team where we support our brilliant customers who are aged 55 years plus and live independently within their own homes. They have the added value of safety and security of an on-site Housing Management Worker to gain support and reassurance when required.
They live in a property in the heart of Middlesbrough with communal settings to get involved in activities with other residents, they all have self-contained properties with the added value of staff on site 8.30-4.30 Monday – Friday.
We help our customers by focussing on tenancy support, you’ll help them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts. You’ll also support our customers with their housing benefit claims and make sure that these are received on their rent account. You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly to make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we’re health and safety compliant!

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Vicky and she has worked for Home Group for nearly 15 years! You’ll be job sharing with Karen who has a wealth of knowledge of the service. They’ll be 8 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 8.30-16.00 Mondays and Tuesdays and 8.30 - 12.30 Wednesdays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid weekly!
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
As Housing Management Worker you’ll support letting and re-letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!
As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!
If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
