Director, Digital, Data & Technology
Drinkaware is an independent alcohol education charity working with both the alcohol industry and public sector bodies to tackle and help reduce alcohol-related harm. Established over 10 years ago by Government and the UK alcohol industry, our purpose is to help reduce alcohol harm by helping people make better choices about their drinking.
As our new Director, Digital, Data & Technology, you will play a critical role in the delivery of our five year strategy, enabling a step change in our impact through the smart capture and maximisation of data and the development of our digital footprint, building on our already successful app and website to offer people a multi-channel experience to help improve their health and wellbeing. We work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders, securing, sharing and responding to insights to promote healthier lifestyle choices. To do this, we require a coherent technology infrastructure that helps us to unlock our potential, so that we can operate with confidence and at greater scale.
You will be a customer focused digital, data and technology leader with experience of enabling consumer engagement through smart product and service development, ideally with groups who are less digitally confident or health literate. A strategic thinker with exceptional delivery credentials, you’ll turn our vision into a reality, defining and delivering an innovation roadmap; high on your priority list will be the creation of an API strategy, the development of our app offer and the implementation of a CRM system, all of which will contribute towards a diverse user journey, and form the basis of sustained engagement with target groups.
We’re a modestly sized organisation with significant reach, so you’ll need to be an all-rounder, willing to do what it takes to get the job done and able to deliver a lot with a little. A clear communicator and accomplished relationship builder, you will excel when working in partnership with a range of colleagues and external partners to define and deliver to common goals and will have a reputation for informing and enabling through the application of your technical expertise and your broad frame of reference.
Above all, you will be a credible, inspiring and pragmatic thought leader, with a developmental style and an aptitude for sharing and embedding best practice, ensuring that we maintain data and technology compliance whilst embracing opportunities to innovate and harness technology as an enabler of behaviour change.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of many and we’re excited to find out how we can work together to maximise our impact.
