Flexible Hours & Shifts
Working hours that suit my lifestyle. That’s when it hits home.
Have you been looking to earn some extra cash, while keeping to your current commitments? Now you can! What’s more, you’ll be making a difference caring for the most vulnerable people!
This is an exciting time to join Home Group – one of the UK’s Largest Housing providers and be part of our brilliant flexible bank. You’ll be providing care for our amazing customers, while picking and choosing the shifts you want to work.
Where you could work
You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services in the Kirklees area in our CQC registered services, supporting customers with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or customers in one of our many diverse services. You will support the daily needs of our customers, you could be based in one of our lovely independent supported living services, or possibly supporting our customers to go about their business within the community.
There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from supporting our customers to achieve their hopes and aspirations, working to bespoke care plans. You’ll go home each day knowing that you’ve made an amazing difference to vulnerable people’s lives. How amazing is that!
One day you might be helping our customer with personal care (including medication) in the morning and supporting them to attend college in the afternoon, we even help customers to go on holiday! Like our team, we’re sure you’ll find the role ever so rewarding. Rest assured that wherever you will be working, we will support you all the way!
Our team describe themselves as really friendly and approachable. In fact when new members have joined us in the past, it’s been said that they felt welcomed by colleagues and our customers from day 1.
If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
You must have and real passion for helping others and some experience in the care of vulnerable people, or a strong desire to work in this field. You must have a care certificate or an NVQ level 2 or higher in Health and Social Care; and training in moving and handling of people.
You MUST be prepared to deliver personal care, such as dressing, bathing and toileting in a way that respects the dignity of our customers and cares for their health and wellbeing. You will be handling medication and recording this appropriately so an eye for detail and accuracy is required. We will provide the relevant training course to enable you to do this.
You’ll be flexible to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift. The great news is that you’ll be gaining loads of experience working in different services or locations. But we do need to be a real people person!
Though you’ll have the heart of a Lion, you’ll sometimes need the skin of a Rhino, however they don’t take away from the caring nature you display towards our customers.
You may already work with vulnerable adults or have done so in the past, however it’s not a deal-breaker if you haven’t. However to be brilliant, we do need you to have a caring attitude and the desire to learn and make a difference!
How it works
Working on our bank, you’ll be able to pick and choose your shifts - from those available in your area. As busy as you are, you should be able to do this on the go via your mobile device!
What’s in it for you?
