We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have complex needs, they are vulnerable individuals aged over 25, who were homeless may have had some offending history. Our customers have complex needs that can include drug and alcohol misuse, offending compliance, mild mental health and sometimes challenging behaviour. We support them with the skills, knowledge and experience to move on to live independently.
We provide our services throughout the county of Warwickshire, our customers live within a variety of individual properties, most of which are shared. We cover the width and breath of the full county to help our customers! The team work broadly in areas, however we definitely support each other and cover each other’s areas when needed – this means lots of time on the road!
The working environment is fast-paced but the candidate will be supported by an experienced, established team who always go that extra mile and think outside the box for our customers' benefit.

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager Amanda has worked in this service for over 20 years. There are 21 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! We may not see each other every day, but we definitely keep in touch with each other and get together face to face on a monthly basis. You’ll discover that lots of our names start with an A, we have Amanda, Adam, Anna, Alex, Ann, don’t worry we’re still keen to hear from you ever if your first initial starts further in the alphabet!
You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 8-8 Monday to Friday and 10-4 Saturday to Sunday including bank holidays. The rota runs about 6 weeks in advance, and we’ll work with you to make sure that it works for you. We do need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you so if that means swapping your days off, we’re open to that!
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. You’ll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference! You need to enjoy the excitement of what each working day brings! You’re full of energy.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a supported housing environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!
If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
