Job Details
Expressions of interest are invited from school leavers, unemployed young people and others for our Advanced Apprenticeship Training Programmes. Apprenticeships are likely to be available in the following skills areas:
Administration (various posts)
£12,145 (subject to job evaluation)
Post Ref. No: APP. AA.001
Qualifications: 4 GCSEs Grade C minimum – including Maths, English and two other job related subjects (or equivalent vocational qualifications)
Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (1 post)
£8,790 (subject to job evaluation)
Post Ref. No: APP.VM.001
Qualifications: 4 GCSEs Grade C minimum – including Maths, English and a science subject (or equivalent vocational qualifications)
• All current pay is shown per annum for the first year of training
• Training will take place at locations across the District and at local and regional further education colleges
• All learners will study to obtain nationally recognised vocational qualifications (NVQs), Key Skills & Technical Certificates
• Apprenticeships will last between two and four years, dependent on the skills area
• Two of the Administration posts will start April 2010.
All other apprenticeships to commence in August 2010.

Interviews 18-19 March 19-30 April
Key Skills assessments 24 March 4-21 May
